About me

Hello,

I am Claudia, educator and teacher by passion, as well as an advocate for educational diversity and inclusion.

As a learning coach, educator and trainer, I accompany children, young people, families and professionals on their journey of development, growth and innovation.

I started my professional career in 1991 in Thuringia/Germany, in a children's home, where I completed my last year of practical training. There I had the opportunity to work for over five years with children and young people at social risk, aged between 0-18 years, accompanying them in their physical, cognitive and psychosocial development.

Without a doubt, this has been a profoundly transformative experience for me. Helping these children overcome trauma and develop healthy self-esteem has been one of my greatest responsibilities and also one of the most rewarding. Handling sometimes challenging behaviour with patience and understanding was a constant challenge. Promoting positive discipline and watching children learn to manage their emotions had benefits for both them and myself. Working as a team with other professionals and, when possible, with the biological or foster families, was crucial to ensure the child's overall well-being. This work offered me countless opportunities to grow and learn in the field of education and child and adolescent psychology. Every day I am reminded of the importance of dedication and love in my work.

Later on I worked as an educator in a Kindergarten (early childhood education) based on "The philosophy of the situational approach", where my work consisted in educating and accompanying children between the ages of 3 and 6, fostering their language skills, motor skills, sociability and personality development.

I have also served as a mentor to my students in practice in that pedagogical institution, sharing my knowledge and professional experiences, guiding the new generation of educators during their training.

In summer of 2000, my life's journey took me to Lanzarote, where I continued with the exciting work of education as a children's and young people's leisure instructor in a Therapeutic Tourist Centre.

Enthusiastic about learning and lifelong learning, I continued my studies in Primary Education in the University of Las Palmas Gran Canaria and after them in the fields of pedagogy, psycology and music in german, spanish and english.

I have specialised in closely related fields in order to be able to support and accompany pupils with reading and writing problems, with difficulties in learning mathematics or other subjects, with concentration, memory and behavioural problems among others.

Many of my students are diagnosed in ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Selective Mutism, Down Syndrom, considered as Gifted or Highly Sensitive Children, or they grow up in a bilingual or multilingual environment. Depending on the needs of the families and clients who come to me, I offer my services in Spanish, German or English.

With me you will find qualified treatment concepts and individual training programmes for children, young people and young adults. That way the fun of learning can return, and academic and personal success becomes possible again.

My greatest resources, apart from my formation and more than 25 years of experience are: empathy, a real enthusiasm to share my passion for education and teaching and to respond to my students and clients through my openness, joy, patience and attentiveness, creating an atmosphere in which they can build a positive and trusting relationship.
